EPRA — Regulatory Impact Assessment Consultancy
Four landmark regulatory impact assessments shaping Kenya's energy regulations.
Texas Solutech was engaged by EPRA on four landmark regulatory impact assessments shaping Kenya's electricity supply, accident-reporting, consolidated energy fund and rural electrification fund regulations (Tenders Epra/scm/4/3/23-24/018 and 022). Each RIA delivered bankable, evidence-based recommendations now embedded in Kenya's evolving energy regulatory framework.

The Challenge
EPRA needed independent, technically rigorous regulatory impact assessments across electricity supply, incident reporting and consolidated energy fund regulations — under tight legislative timelines.
Our Solution
We delivered RIA studies on draft energy (incidents & accidents reporting) regulations 2022, draft energy (consolidated energy fund) regulations, draft energy (rural electrification programme fund) regulations, draft electricity (supply & installation work) regulations 2023 (Tender Epra/scm/4/3/23-24/018) and draft energy (electric power undertaking licensing) regulations 2023 (Tender 022).
The Outcome
Bankable, evidence-based RIA reports adopted into Kenya's evolving energy regulatory framework.
